King Solomon was a wise man. Everybody talked about his wisdom. The Queen of Sheba came to know about his fame. She was eager to visit the king and test his wisdom. One day, she came to visit King Solomon. The king was sitting at his court.
The queen brought valuable gifts for the king. She also brought two garlands. One real and the other artificial. But they looked completely alike. The king said to King Solomon, “Your majesty, please pick up the real garland without touching it.”
The courtiers or King Solomon became confused. The King thought for a moment or two. Then he ordered the guards, “Open all the windows.”Bees flew in and sat on the real garland. Everyone, including the Queen of Sheba, was amazed at the ready wit of King Solomon.

রাণী রাজার জন্য মূল্যবান উপহার নিয়ে এসেছিলেন। তিনি দুটি মালাও নিয়ে এসেছিলেন। একটি আসল এবং অন্যটি কৃত্রিম। কিন্তু তারা দেখতে সম্পূর্ণ একই রকম ছিল। রাজা রাজা শলোমনকে বললেন, “মহারাজ, দয়া করে আসল মালাটি স্পর্শ না করে তুলে নিন।”
সভাসদরা বা রাজা শলোমন বিভ্রান্ত হয়ে পড়লেন। রাজা এক বা দুই মুহূর্ত ভাবলেন। তারপর তিনি রক্ষীদের নির্দেশ দিলেন, “সব জানালা খুলে দাও।” মৌমাছিরা উড়ে এসে আসল মালাটির উপর বসল। শিবার রানী সহ সকলেই রাজা শলোমনের প্রস্তুত বুদ্ধি দেখে অবাক হয়ে গেল।

King Solomon was renowned as a powerful king all over the world. Everyone became charmed at his ready wit and excellent wisdom. The Queen of Sheba heard that the King could answer any difficult question instantly.
She hit upon a plan to test the king and made two similar garlands- one was made of real flowers and another was artificial. She called on King Solomon and asked, Oh, the wise king! I have taken these two garlands for you. Both are similar to look at, but only one is real.
Can you choose the real one? The garlands were on the table, which was near the window. The king looked at them at a glance and opened the window at once. There were some bees in his garden beside the window. He found a few of the bees had entered the room through the window and sat on one of the garlands of the queen of Sheba.
He instantly could understand which one the real garland was. He, then, easily chose the real garland and left the artificial one. Long live our wise king! Cried out the Queen. You are really the wisest king in the world, she added.
Moral: Present intelligence is the true strength of wisdom.
