Once there was a king who often wanted to know his future. So, he used to call different astrologers for consultation, and they pleased him by telling him about his good fortune. One day, a renowned astrologer came, and he predicted some bad luck for the king.
At this, the king became angry and declared his death sentence. But before the execution, the king wanted to know the astrologer’s lifetime. The astrologer was very smart and ready-witted. To escape from death, he replied that according to his star, he would die just two days before the king’s death.
He also bade goodbye and added that he would be waiting for the king in heaven, where the king was going to send him. At this, the king became afraid. He ordered his men to drive this wretch away so that he would not enter his kingdom again.
Moral: Sometimes, ready wit can save one from danger.

একদা এক রাজা ছিলেন যিনি প্রায়ই নিজের ভবিষ্যৎ জানতে চাইতেন। তাই তিনি বিভিন্ন জ্যোতিষীকে ডেকে পরামর্শ নিতেন, এবং তারা তার শুভ ভবিষ্যতের কথা বলে তাকে সন্তুষ্ট করত। একদিন একজন প্রসিদ্ধ জ্যোতিষী এলেন এবং তিনি রাজার জন্য কিছু অশুভ ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করলেন।
এতে রাজা রাগান্বিত হয়ে তাকে মৃত্যুদণ্ডের আদেশ দিলেন। কিন্তু মৃত্যুদণ্ড কার্যকর করার আগে রাজা জ্যোতিষীর আয়ুষ্কাল জানতে চাইলেন। জ্যোতিষী খুব বুদ্ধিমান ও উপস্থিতবুদ্ধিসম্পন্ন ছিলেন। মৃত্যুর হাত থেকে বাঁচার জন্য তিনি বললেন যে তার নক্ষত্র মতে তিনি রাজার মৃত্যুর মাত্র দুই দিন আগে মারা যাবেন।
তিনি বিদায় জানিয়ে আরও বললেন যে রাজা তাকে যেখানে পাঠাতে যাচ্ছেন, সেখানেই তিনি স্বর্গে রাজার জন্য অপেক্ষা করবেন। এতে রাজা ভয় পেয়ে গেলেন। তিনি তার সৈন্যদের আদেশ দিলেন এই নরাধমকে তাড়িয়ে দিতে, যাতে সে আর কখনো তার রাজ্যে প্রবেশ করতে না পারে।

The King and the Astrologer Story 150 Words
Once upon a time, there was a king who was very fond of knowing his future from astrologers. A good astrologer happened to stop at his capital on his way to Benaras. The king called on him to know his future. The astrologer said something danger.
At this, the king got furious and condemned him to death, saying, “A man like you should not live to spoil the peace of the world.” But another thought crossed his mind before the astrologer was taken for execution. “How long would you live?” asked the king. He then thought for a while about some way of escape.
He thought that the king would prove him a liar by putting him to death. With a ready wit, he said, “The stars declare that I shall die only a week before Your Majesty. So goodbye. I shall receive Your Majesty where you are sending me.” At this, the king turned pale as death and shouted, “Drive this wretch away. Let him not come again.” The astrologer saved his life with his ready wit.
