The King and the Astrologer Story
Once there was a king who ruled a big country. He was very powerful and proud. One day, an astrologer came to the royal court. The astrologer said, Your Majesty, I can tell people’s future by reading the stars.
The king became curious and asked, Tell me, how long will I live? The astrologer looked at the stars and said, Your Majesty, you will die in seven days. The king became very angry. He shouted, How dare you say such things to me? Guards, take him away and kill him!
The astrologer became afraid but thought quickly. He said, O King, I may die, but I can tell you something more. According to the stars, I will die three days before your death.
The king became scared. If he killed the astrologer, it might mean he would die soon too. So, he changed his mind and let the astrologer go free.
Moral: Wise words can save a life. Always think before you act.

এক দেশে এক রাজা ছিল। তিনি ছিলেন খুব শক্তিশালী এবং অহংকারী। একদিন এক জ্যোতিষী রাজপ্রাসাদে এল। সে বলল, মহারাজ, আমি তারার অবস্থান দেখে মানুষের ভবিষ্যৎ বলতে পারি। রাজা কৌতূহলী হয়ে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, তবে বলো, আমি কতদিন বাঁচবো?
জ্যোতিষী কিছুক্ষণ তারার দিকে তাকিয়ে বলল, মহারাজ, আপনি সাত দিনের মধ্যে মারা যাবেন। রাজা খুব রাগান্বিত হয়ে উঠল। সে চিৎকার করে বলল, তুই এত সাহস পেলি কীভাবে! সৈন্যরা, এই জ্যোতিষীকে ধরে নিয়ে গিয়ে হত্যা করো!
জ্যোতিষী ভয়ে কাঁপতে লাগল, কিন্তু বুদ্ধি খাটিয়ে বলল, মহারাজ, আমি মরতেই পারি। তবে আরও একটি কথা বলি—আমি আপনার আগে তিন দিন মারা যাবো। রাজা ভয় পেয়ে গেল। যদি সে জ্যোতিষীকে এখন মারে, তবে হয়তো সত্যিই কিছু হতে পারে। তাই রাজা জ্যোতিষীকে ছেড়ে দিল।
