There lived a man in a village. He had a great attraction to English, and so he went to a teacher. The teacher began to teach him, but the man was dull-headed. After a long effort on the part of the teacher, the man learned only three words. They were (Yes), (No), and (Very good).
With these three words, he came to his village. He thought he had learnt quite a good amount of English. He began using these three English words most of the time, irrelevantly. He did not know whether they were contextually right or wrong. He just used them everywhere. One night, a theft was committed in the village.
The following day, the police came to the village. The policemen asked the man whether he knew about the theft. He answered in his usual way, “Yes”. The policemen asked him to tell them about the theft. But the man said, “No”.
At this, the policemen had a doubt about him, but they did not want to arrest him. But eventually they arrested him and told him that he was going to the police station with them. He just told them, “Very good”. Thus, the man fell into danger.
Moral: A little learning is a dangerous thing.

পরের দিন, পুলিশ গ্রামে আসে। পুলিশ লোকটিকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে যে সে চুরি সম্পর্কে জানে কিনা। সে তার স্বাভাবিক ভঙ্গিতে উত্তর দেয়, “হ্যাঁ”। পুলিশ তাকে চুরি সম্পর্কে তাদের বলতে বলে। কিন্তু লোকটি বলল, “না।”
এতে পুলিশ সদস্যদের তার উপর সন্দেহ হলো, কিন্তু তারা তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করতে চাইলো না। কিন্তু অবশেষে তারা তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করে বললো যে সে তাদের সাথে থানায় যাচ্ছে। সে শুধু বললো, “খুব ভালো”। এভাবে, লোকটি বিপদে পড়ে গেল।

Once there lived a farmer in a small village. He was curious about medicine but never studied it properly. One day he visited a town doctor and watched him treat a patient. The farmer learned the name of one medicine and thought he had understood how to cure illnesses.
After returning to the village, he began to act like a doctor. When a neighbor became sick with a fever, the farmer gave him the same medicine he had seen in town. Unfortunately, the illness was different, and the medicine made the patient worse.
The villagers soon realized the farmer did not truly understand medicine. They warned him not to treat people without proper knowledge. The farmer felt ashamed and decided to learn properly before helping others.
