Leisure means the time free from work or other duties. Pastime means the happy work done during leisure. Leisure is very important in one’s life. Pastime removes our monotony. It differs from person to person.
Village people spend their leisure time gossiping and playing cards. Today they listen to the radio and watch television. City people attend seminars, parties, and cultural functions. They read newspapers and watch TV programmes.
Young people go to parks and visit important places. The old people read books or newspapers. Some people work in the garden. However, watching television is the most common pastime at present. I spend my leisure time watching TV and working in my flower garden.
